Endometrial ablation
Endometrial ablation is an in-office procedure for treating heavy or irregular menstrual bleeding. Dr. Barrere uses the Minerva ES® Endometrial Ablation System.
During the procedure, Dr. Barrere inserts the Minerva ES device in your uterus. The device uses controlled energy to ablate, or destroy, the uterine lining to treat the abnormal or heavy bleading.
Endosee®
Endosee is an advanced diagnostic hysteroscopy. During the in-office procedure, Dr. Barrere uses the Endosee Advance visual tool — a thin tube with a light and camera — to evaluate the lining of your cervix and uterus. The imaging tool allows him to see abnormalities in the tissue that may explain your symptoms, such as a polyps or fibroids.
Colposcopy
A colposcopy is a procedure to evaluate the cervix after having an abnormal Pap smear. Dr. Barrere uses a special microscope to evaluate your cervix. Tissue biopsies may also be taken to better understand the results of your abnormal Pap test.
Intrauterine device (IUD) insertion
IUDs are a form of long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) that Dr. Barrere places in your uterus. The hormonal or non-hormonal IUD prevents pregnancy for three to 10 years.
Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT)
